Our story
PASSAMANERIE PIOVANO GROUP S.R.L. has origins in the recent past.
Born as Passamanerie Piovano & C. s.n.c. in the early 60s from the great ability of the founder Luigi Piovano.
Before starting his own business, he was a texile worker in a company that produced blankets. He gets married with Domenica and after a while he became father of a son, Giovanni Piovano. From that moment he decided he wants more for his family. So, he resigns and with the money of liquidation, buys two looms.
He and his wife worked day and night on the looms in their garage. Little by little, effort by effort, all this hard work has made possible to buy new looms, and move to a new shed. This was the foundation of the artisan company.
The company became a family business when Giovanni starts working in the Passamanerie Piovano &C., and later also his wife Carla joined the company.
Since 1997 the company has been placed on foreign markets: the continuous business innovations the have allowed it to open up to international trade, in particular a part of the production is exported to the USA, Russia, Japan, etc.
Thanks to years of intense activity and a dynamic internal organization, the company ranks among the best suppliers in the textile and clothing sector with specialization in the manifucture of trimmings end forniture’s components.
The company offers more than 600 items available in a range of 160 colors with the possibility of infinite combinations to satisfy all customers needs in a relatively short time.
The production of trimmings consist of cords, bords, fringes, tassels and tiebacks, usable in many sectors as forniture or clothing, internal decoration, production of accessories to both forniture and clothing and upholstery.
Nowadays the company has passed into the management of Giovanni’s son Luca Piovano, who has transformed his granfather’s Passamanerie Piovano & C. snc into a young family company, PASSAMANERIE PIOVANO GROUP S.R.L. , that looks to the future while mantaining the identity, ideals and cornerstone of the past.
